Re: Slaven Post Match - Class
I didn't know it hit Antonio, thought it was our throw.

Well its just one of those games we didn't get the decisions. Against other teams maybe take it on the chin but against Pulis just winds everyone up it seems

Re: Slaven Post Match - Class
I agree with the referees overall DCT but on MOTD they all said that Antonio touched the ball before it went out. If there's still doubts now then the ref and lino only had a moment to decide...

It's just that we all hate Pulis and WBA for becoming the Stoke of 4 or 5 years ago...

The ball flicked off Antonio. It was WBA's throw in

Re: Slaven Post Match - Class
I thought he was well within his rights to do his nut over the throw in given the wrong way just before their goal. The rest were just one of those things.

I actually think it was more a build up from the past few months. Some of the refereeing has been appalling at our place this season.

With the benefit of multiple angles and replays, yes, Bilic's comments were OTT. He was wrong - but it was hardly Wenger/Mourinho-esque refusal to see the truth, he honestly thought the ref was wrong on several occasions.

Slav's a good chap, I suspect he'll apologise to the ref. He's a smart cookie too, so I'm sure he'll know that'll go a long way.

Can't help but think Slaven was a bit OTT, foul on Fegouli could have been given but the other decisions seemed correct. l rate Oliver and applaud Slaven's passion but I think it was misplaced on this occasion.

Why has the foul on JC been overlooked by all and sundry?

I thought it looked a blatant Penalty!

Re: Slaven Post Match - Class
Didn't the ball then come off the WBA player whose legs it looked to go through??

Re: Slaven Post Match - Class
Well I'm not sure Bilic was right. Was Feghouli fouled from behind for the 1st goal really? I'm not sure he was but he did go down too easily.

Bilic in one of his interviews said that he was told by the 4th official that the Feghouli goal was disallowed for offside. Only once he spoke later to the ref did he say it was for a foul by Antonio on the keeper which was clear in the repeats.

On MOTD they said that Antonio touched the ball for a throw on to WBA which at the time I didn't see. I just knew we'd concede when it went for a corner instead of a safe possession throw on for us.

On reflection I'm not so sure that the ref had such a poor game as Bilic claimed...

Re: Slaven Post Match - Class
Texas - the throw in has got nothing to do with opinion - it's fact. Antonio got a toe on the ball and it was West Brom's throw in.

Nothing wrong at all with the manager coming out and slating the ref after a game, but he needs to be pretty certain that he's right and the officials were wrong.

From what I could see, the only decision that was even debatable was the foul on Feghouli, and that was 50/50

Personally I think Bilic has shown himself up a bit

Stone, you need to calm down and pit facts in your posts rather than just spout abuse.

Re: Slaven Post Match - Class
Seen a picture of WBA's equaliser, and spotted that Johnny Evans was climbing up McAuley and pushing against his shoulders/back to get high enough to head the ball, which is definitely not allowed. I appreciate that it happens a lot and goes unnoticed, but given how much the ref gave in their favour, it's annoying that that sort of thing goes unnoticed.

Re: Slaven Post Match - Class
Bilic was fuming with the officials and rightly so....

Too many incorrect decisions for a prem game. Officials are so far off the required standard its scary

1st goal foul on Fegs
Fegs goal should of stood
Antonio dragged down by Foster for chance in first half
Incorrect call for throw in in lead up to their second

Re: Slaven Post Match - Class
After watching Bilic on MOTD I got the impression it was all a bit pre meditated.
He needs to look at himself. Why, for example, does he keeps moving Antonio around when his (only) strong position is playing on the wing bullying full backs when physically dribbling past them or out muscling them at the back post.

Stoneman quite a shit comeback mate, if you rate martinez for being belgium manager you might aswell rate advram grant who was an international manager of ghana. Both were absolute toilet in the premier league, hence wigan, amd west ham both got relegated under these clowns and everton sacked martinez cause they had some sense.

Fletcher barges into Randolph at the corner
He may have been pushed by another player but in most cases when a keeper is impeded like that a free kick is given
You suspect if it was DeGea or Cech or a big 6 keeper it would have been given

My problem is this idea of bringing on another defender (Collins) at the end. I'd always bring on a midfielder to add legs to protect a lead as additional defenders make you drop back and tend to get in the way.

Agree with you ,

Bigger frustration for me is that the controversy over the officiating is a smokescreen that conveniently- for our two bob owners- obscures the fact that our makeshift right back got nutmegged for their first goal and that we had the worst options at centre forward yesterday of any team in the Premier League.

Re: Slaven Post Match - Class
Bilic boiled over at the end of the game and clearly what upsets him more than anything else is our inability to defend a Stoke corner. The fight back to gain control and then earn a victory dashed from us by inept goalkeeping and central defending.

I don't think the officials got any decisions either completely or half wrong as it happens. It was great to see us fight back and the atmosphere was excellent yesterday. Frustrated that we drew but came away knowing we were the better team on the day.
